Practical solidarity

Utilizing the framework of Practical Solidarity, a piece can be created to address issues of democracy and human rights, drawing inspiration from Kajsa Segles' short story "The Prohibition." The artwork aims to illustrate the interpretation of "the prohibition" and its potential consequences if we fail to uphold our responsibilities. Imagining a dystopian scenario set in the year 2080, akin to the high-tech totalitarian regimes seen in contemporary examples like China, North Korea, and Russia, the piece portrays a society where citizens are subjected to complete surveillance and control from birth. Through this depiction, it highlights the importance of safeguarding democracy and human rights to prevent such a dark future.
